Creative Carbon Scotland
The organization initially assisted arts organizations in carbon reporting, but it has now evolved into an organization that advocates for the transformation of the carbon sector. Creative Carbon Scotland recognizes the importance of Scottish art and culture in the country’s sustainability journey and aims to empower individuals to integrate sustainability into their work.
They provide training resources for carbon measurement groups, work with nearly 120 organizations in carbon reduction and reporting, and collaborate with policymakers to shape a supportive landscape through funding, resources, and regulations.
Creative Carbon Scotland has a vision of a climate-adapted cultural sector that recognizes its crucial role in creating a greener future. According to the organization, culture’s unique ability to imagine alternative futures and question the status quo is the key to this shift.
